We recently reported that we had appointed Deloitte Brightman Almagor Zohar in Israel to undertake an independent investigation to ensure that all donations from Hazon Yeshaya UK were being properly applied in Israel. We are now writing to update you on the position of Hazon Yeshaya UK.

We can confirm that Deloitte Brightman Almagor Zohar have been unable to complete their report. Without this assurance, we have reluctantly decided to close the office of Hazon Yeshaya UK. This decision has not been taken lightly. As we have suspended sending funds to Israel, any donations made directly to Hazon Yeshaya in Israel are made without any endorsement or participation of Hazon Yeshaya UK.

We have therefore regrettably had to give notice to Spencer Gelding and Yael Simon, who will be leaving their positions as Co-Directors at the end of this year. We would like to express our gratitude to Spencer and Yael for their significant contribution, hard work and highly proficient approach to a charity that we know they have been extremely dedicated to. We sincerely wish them success in their future careers.
